HOW TO SEND GRAPHICS AND COPY TO TONY DOOM -ELECTRONICALLY AND OTHERWISE-
(but before you begin any of this, remember that Tony can help you design your products - just call first!)
OK, having said that, if you are electronically adept, have quality equipment and are completely comfortable with technology, you can attach your final electronic file to an e-mail and send it to tony@tonydoom.com . Remember that lots of e-mail service restrict or even refuses to accept attachments. The free JUNO mail service will not permit any e-mail attachments. Hotmail, run by Microsoft and of high technical quality, limits the size of attachments to one meg (1,000 KB). AOL also limits the size of attachments. If you are not sure about your e-mail provider, call their technical support desk and ask. If you understood this paragraph and if your or your designer has a

Computer Generated Artwork
Accepted Programs
- Freehand, Qaurk XPress, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Pagemaker, Corel Draw
Font Information – Convert text to paths, curves or outlines (vector art), (text that becomes an object can no longer be edited as text). If this is not possible, send 
in screen and printer fonts used for job to be printed.
File Information – The artwork must be crystal clear and 300 dpi or greater. The electronic image should be at least three times the size of the final reproduction. You must include all EPS and TIFF files used for the job to be printed. We need a copy of every file used in creating the document. Always keep a copy of the file(s). DO NOT send in your only copy! We can accept compressed files.

YOU CAN ALSO MAIL computer files on regular 3.5 diskette, on a CD or on an Iomega Zip Disk. REMEMBER – DO NOT SEND AN ORIGINAL FILE – MAKE A COPY!!!
Camera ready art is any artwork or printed material with very high black and white contrast (or good colors) which needs no further touch-up, design
or re-arranging before using as copy. All elements must be set in the correct size. Following are the technical specs for first-class camera ready art.
Tony Doom Supply offers products printed by three methods: screen printing, rotary letterpress and flexography. While art preparation varies for each method. as well as for the product being produced, there are some general guidelines to follow in preparing camera-ready artwork.
For screen printed products, artwork should stay 1/8" from the edge of the decal or continue past the edge 1/8" if the imprint will bleed. If two colors touch on your artwork, the light color should bleed under the dark color by 1/32”.
Tighter registration is possible with rotary letterpress and flexography so artwork can be as close as 1/16” from the edge or continue 1/16” past the edge of the label for a bleed. When two colors touch, we only need 1/64” bleed of the light color under the dark color.
HELPFUL HINTS
Do Not Use paper clips, tape or staples on any artwork.
Place the artwork in a substantial envelope and include heavy cardboard to protect from mailing damage.
UNACCEPTABLE ARTWORK (if submitted, may require an additional artwork charge)

Photo copies - Office machine copies always require touch-up.

Business Cards with Raised Letters - raised letter appear ragged when digitally reproduced.

Newspaper Clippings - the quality of the paper is just not good enough. Clippings can be reproduced, but not as photo ready art and an extra charge may apply.

Shiny Surfaces - too much light reflection.

Imprinted Items - process, blue and metallic will not reproduce
